Fight Night – One of the best ever !

A total of sixty eight fighters from seven clubs came together in the sleepy village of Stackstead’s to put on a show at our 2019 Fight Night that would certainly not put anyone into a slumber as we were all treated to fights of the highest quality. From the first few fights involving the little ones; many of whom were in the ring for the first time to the fights right through the fight card, many of which featured current World Champions every fighter put on a terrific show which made for a really entertaining evening.

Of the sixty eight fighters, thirty were from our academy; fourteen were victorious including Ayla Mortimer, Keevi Talbot, Braxton Windle, Robbie Law, David Kurpeniks, Jason and Ben Parkinson, Ruby and Johnny Hoyle, Mia Woodward, Romeo Navaratnam, Idress Hussain, Kyrah Khan and Tejay Bacon.

There were so many terrific fights and performances that it made it really difficult for our referee Joe Tierney and our judges to make the tough decision in deciding on the winners of the Female and Male Fighters of the night. After due consideration Kelsey Lock from BCKA was named the Female Fighter of the Night with the academies very own Robbie Law winning the Male Fighter of the Night, a habit this young man is making a habit of having also been the winner last year. In truth there were plenty of others who truly entertained us who would have been deserving of these prestigious awards such was the standard of the fighting throughout the evening.

The most successful club on the night was Dale Bannisters TKMA team who fell one win short of a 100% success rate being denied by Tejay Bacon in the penultimate fight of the night which was a very close contest.

Many thanks our officials and photographer but especially to the fighters, coaches and spectators from Hurricane Combat and Fitness, ACMAC Martial Arts, TKMA, UFMA, Ace Kickboxing and BCKA who travelled all the way from Corby in joining us and making our show one of the best ever. We hope you can all be with us next year when we do it all again.
