WKKC Nationals sees 100% qualification for our Students.

Fifteen of our students travelled to Worksop to compete at the first WKKC Nationals since 1999 unfortunately the event held on Sunday 20th March had to have the number of entries capped due to restrictions placed by the venue due to Covid 19 protocols this however did not effect the standard of the competition which was at its usual high standard.

Every student who competed including Nationals rookies Tegan Dearden, Ellie Heyworth, Holly Southworth and Oliver Wade were placed on the podium in one or both disciplines thus ensuring selection onto the England Team for the World Championships to be held in October this year.

In total our fifteen students registered seven first places, five seconds and thirteen third places, the star of the day was rookie Oliver Wade who fighting at his third tournament registered wins in both light and semi contact a feat only replicated by multiple National and World Champion Mia Woodward who also won the Junior Female Grand Championships to give her a clean sweep on the day.

A full list of the results can be found on the academies competition results page.
