It’s Oliver Wades weekend as he records a winning treble at the GB Grandslam Event 2

Eleven of our students made the long journey to Bath to compete in the GB Grandslam Event 2 held over two days, amongst those competing were Ruby and Tom Makin who were making their tournament debuts.

Saturday saw all students compete in light contact, with Oliver Wade doubling up by fighting in both novice and intermediate events. Romeo Navaratanam and Oliver Wade won their respective divisions although Oliver came third in his intermediate category whilst Mia Woodward, Tejay Bacon and Ethan Casey registered seconds. Ava Casey, Kaiya Henry – Jones, Eromi Navaratnam, Ruby Makin all came third whilst Tom Makin and James Casey were not placed.

On Sunday our students donned their points gloves with the exception of Mia and James who were not competing.

On what was a really busy day, Oliver Wade continued his excellent form to be our only winner coming out on top in both his novice and intermediate divisions. Third places went to Tejay, Ava, Kaiya, Eromi and Romeo.
